100% Recycling, 50% Supply Chain Cost Savings

 

Ovotherm's clear egg packs offer savings in transport and storage, supply chain cost and CO2- Emission.

 

They are produced in a closed circuit 100% out of recycled material and are 100% recycable, all the leftovers from cutting are reprocessed. This reduces waste of packaging and they can be used again in an intelligent way. 

 

Ovotherm egg packs are as environmentally friendly as other packaging options. This was proved in the study "Comparative environmental assessment of egg packaging options" (2007).

 

Like with all plastic packaging both Polystyrene and PET packs, which are produced 100% from PET drinks bottles, they are fully recyclable but depend on national collection and waste management. 

 

Their shape is coherent, they are ideal to stack and need because of their light weight and low volume about 50% less space than conventional egg packs. One truck can transport twice as many Ovotherm packs than paper or foam packs - they take up 50% less space and this also means halved pollution because of 50% less trucks on the roads transporting packaging material.

 

And of course Ovotherm packaging needs only half the the transport and storage capacity as well as less labor in the packing station.

 

Sturdy and waterproof and 100% recyclable PE (Polyethylene) bags replace the cardboard outer boxes, this combined with a customised pallet system the space in trucks has been optimised to now reach an amazing increase of up to 60% more packs per load.
