Some examples for different promotions

Golden Egg Farms in Greece have a special promotion to sell more eggs four times a year. They promote 18 eggs in a glassclear Showcase 1x18 with the slogan: Pay for 14 eggs and get 4 eggs free. For all consumers who don’t want to buy 18 eggs there are promotions with Ovotherm’s glassclear Supersell 1x12: You pay for 10 eggs and get 2 eggs free. Similar promotions can be found in many other countries, for example in France and Thailand.

Why don’t we sell more eggs? This might have been the question in Sam’s Club and Costco supermarkets (Mexico) before they introduced a new concept on their egg displays. Instead of 30 eggs on a tray they now promote 36 eggs – packed in 2 of Ovotherm’s glassclear Showcase 1x18 and held together by a sleeve made of paper, colourfully printed. But not only the number of eggs is amazing but also that specialty eggs like Omega 3 and Cereal eggs are promoted this way.

Also at Easter time special egg promotions can be found in the egg displays. For example: 6 boiled and coloured eggs are presented in a glassclear Ovotherm Starpack 6+1 and an egg shape candle for free, as a gift. But also boiled and coloured eggs in bigger quantities are promoted, for example in a clear Showcase 1x18 where you get a paint set for free.
