Canada was the host of the Annual Marketing and Production Conference of the International Egg Commission. The conference took place in the beautiful city of Vancouver from 13th to 17th of September 2009 and attracted more than 450 delegates (which is a new record!) from all over the world. About 80 of them came from various parts of Canada, so the translation into French (and also Spanish) was very welcome and helpful. The topics of the internationally reowned speakers were extremely interesting, for example about marketing, animal welfare and the wrongly called "swine flu" (new flu).
This annual conference is not only important because of the information given by the excellent speakers: It is about people from the business and the personal relationships as well as the possibilities for "private talks" in a nice and relaxed atmosphere!
Ovotherm had a nicely decorated booth, where all the new products could be seen and discussed with interested parties. The sales team of Ovotherm's CEO Franz Hofer - Walter Baumann, Petra Küblböck and Caroline Eaton - were taking good care of them. Willi Kallhammer, Senior Partner of Ovotherm and President of the IEC, had the opportunity to greet many new as well as longtime friends of the IEC and Ovotherm.
Ovotherm's folder with the title "Advantages and Benefits" (pdf), containing questions and answers about clear egg packaging, created a lot of interest and compliments.
