The main theme at the Propak Cape is the exibition of processing, packing and labelling of groceries. The well visited, 3 day long, international show was last October in Capetown/ South Africa. Ovotherm and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber organized and shared a booth. Many egg producers and supermarket manager came to see what Ovotherm has to offer. Starpack 1x6 and 1x7 got a lot of attention, but the real "star" was Vision Jumbo 2x6! Both kinds of packs are made of 100% recycled drinks bottles and crystalclear. Vision Jumbo is ideal for eggs bigger than 70grams and protects these "biggies" extremely well.
IMPORT EXPORT CONSULT looks after the Ovotherm market south of the Equator and was already successful in establishing Vision Jumbo. Right now no other pack in South Africa is as good for Jumbo eggs as Vision. As the cells of this pack are big enough to accommodate duck eggs, this pack is also very well liked by duck egg producers like Jana and Franz Marherbe in Riverdale. They produce free range and organic eggs, which are sold for example at the Woolworths stores. In South Africa many Chinese people are living and they love duck eggs!
