IEC Conference Budapest
This year the IEC Annual Marketing and Production Conference took place from September 16. -21. 2007 in Budapest/ Hungary. With more than 360 delegates it was the best attended conference ever and the international visitors from over 45 countries worldwide enjoyed not only a high class of information about eggs, but also the beautiful location in the Castle district!
The marketing of eggs was one of the main issues of this conference with a lot of international speakers. Mr. Franz Hofer, CEO of Ovotherm Intl., presented a very well received and applauded paper about “Packaging – From cost factor to value creator”. Ovotherm’s nicely decorated booth was very crowded with interested visitors, a lot of them from Eastern European countries. Ovotherm’s sales team – Walter Baumann, Petra Küblböck, Caroline Eaton, Norbert Papranec and Bohumir Horr – were taking good care of them and treated the visitors with the new Snackpack 2, containing 2 hardboiled eggs.
For Mr. Willi Kallhammer, Senior Partner of Ovotherm, it was the last conference as IEC Chairman. After a very special tribute from the Spanish speaking countries with a big “Thank You” for all his efforts, Mr. Kallhammer was receiving 5 minutes of applause and a standing ovation. For the next 3 years he will be President of the IEC.
