One of the major German egg producers put a new product, under the private label “Landkost”, on the market. 7 barn eggs, cooked and glazed (not coloured!) are presented to the consumer in Ovotherm’s glassclear Starpack 6+1 made of recycled PET bottles. The name “7 days – 7 heads” has a connection to a TV- show with the same name, but indicates “an egg per day” as well. Consumers can buy this product in the northern part of Germany in Netto and Edeka Supermarkets. It is quite possible that the product range will be enlarged.
